Most organisations we work with already hold a great deal of spatial information. It is just scattered — a boundary in a CAD file, asset numbers in a spreadsheet, condition notes in somebody’s inbox, and the survey we delivered last year sitting in a folder. Nobody can answer a question that crosses two of those sources without a day’s work.
GIS implementation is the process of bringing them into one structured system where the question takes seconds.
What we actually do
- Design the schema. This is the part that determines whether the system is still in use in three years. We model it around the decisions you make and the way your team already works, not around a software vendor’s template.
- Migrate the existing data. Spreadsheets, CAD drawings, KML, scanned plans, handwritten registers. Reconciling records that disagree with each other is usually the real work, and we do it in the open so you can see what was assumed.
- Build the interface. A web map your team opens in a browser, with no licence to buy and nothing to install. Layer control, search, filtering, and an attribute table that behaves the way people expect.
- Hand it over properly. Documentation, training, and a structure you can extend without calling us back.
Built to outlast us
We favour open formats and standard interfaces — GeoPackage, PostGIS, standard web map services — so your data stays yours and portable. A system that locks you into one supplier is a liability dressed as a solution.
It closes the loop
This is where the rest of our services end up. A terrain model, a stockpile volume, a set of monitoring captures over eighteen months — in isolation each is a report. In a GIS they become a record you can query across time, and the value of every future survey compounds instead of starting over.
